LEAP Shell Scheduling Software Overview

LEAP Shell 3™ scheduling software provides a unified approach to the sample centric process of analyzing samples in a multi-vendor environment. Pump, autosampler, sample prep workstation, balance for weighing and mass spec, plus many smaller peripherals, can be timed and controlled consistently and easily from one sample list.

LEAP Shell goes beyond the capability of generic data system drivers.

LEAP Shell offers true "Look ahead" or "Inject ahead" operations on the PAL autosampler in conjunction with other vendors hardware and software

LEAP Shell 3™ synchronizes multi-vendor system components including but not limited to:

  • Mettler Balance
  • Analyst™
  • All CTC PALs
  • Chorus Nano Pump
  • 4x Ultra Pump

LEAP Shell Overview

  • Simplification of Sample Handling; a single, highly customizable Sample entry table maximizes user efficiency by presenting only the entry fields necessary for the application.
  • Multi component control software without Data Acquisition
  • Simplest configuration is LEAP Shell and PAL
  • Includes a utility for setting up import and export of Sample Lists from pre-saved templates.
  • Extremely powerful editors for synchronizing the operation of all configured devices. Includes conditional logic using signal and data inputs.
  • Powerful Programmability with Cycle Editor; Create custom cycles to use as a part of a Shell method
  • Login Security; Layered access to suit the security needs of the user’s lab with four access levels
  • Can create and run custom cycles without the need for further add-ons or licenses.
  • Can prepare samples ahead of time while previous acquisition is in progress, saves time. Shell program calculates when to get the next sample
  • Because of this Looking Ahead feature, we can perform staggered injections significantly increasing throughput where there is a front &/or back cut.
  • Provides an integration solution for some devices which are not currently supported by Analyst e.g. Rheos & Eksigent pumps.
  • Control devices other than the PAL – synchronize these devices.
  • The PAL actions can be changed within a method, based on external feedback be it signals or data provided to the LEAP Shell at run-time.
  • Sample List columns can be customized – no limit to the type of data that the user can include.
  • Sample List Columns can be different for each Shell method in the same list
  • Option to view complex Sample Lists sorted by Method or by device.
  • Data reported by external devices (e.g. balance or barcode reader) can be displayed in the Sample List columns.
  • Sample Lists can be exported in many formats (e.g. elimited text, Excel, HTML,XML)
  • Cabling is greatly simplified, all synchronization is via RS232 – no device to device connections required.
  • Control for Twin PAL using the same Sample List
  • PAL Cycles cannot be “tampered with” – protected.
