LEAP offers multiple choices for washing the syringe on the PAL. The Fast Wash Station uses for two solvents for high sample throughput. Before and after each injection the syringe and syringe needle (needle inside and outside) are rinsed in a dedicated Fast Wash Station containing two different cleaning solvents. This unique design reduces sample carryover and adsorption problems. Normally, it comes with 500 mL solvent reservoirs. Wash solvent is drawn into the syringe from the capillary tube and ejected back into the capillary tube to waste. This is normally done multiple times with a solvent that cleans the sample. It is normally followed by a second wash which may be the mobile phase.
