Description | |
Timed sampling of bio-reactor vessels |
Contents |
Overview
The PAL application will automate the timed sampling of culture fluid from a bacterial culture vessel. The samples will be taken from flow cells which are mounted on the PAL workspace and which will be receiving constant flow of fluid from the culture vessels using a peristaltic pump. Samples will be aspirated at specified times over a period of up to one week and dispensed into vials or 96 well plates. Dosing of the cultures with nutrients or pH buffers is also possible.
Significant Markets
This application provides a tool for those labs where sampling at precise time intervals must be done over prolonged periods. This includes labs who are developing antibiotics or monitoring antibiotic resistance.
LEAP Shell Application
LEAP Shell is ideal for setting up timed sampling operations. Customized columns in the Sample List make operation very simple.
Reporting capabilities are extensive allowing real-time updates of actual sample times as well as output to logfiles and Excel spreadsheets.
