Solid Phase Extraction Applications |
Solid phase extraction, or SPE, is a technique designed for rapid, selective sample preparation and purification prior to chromatographic analysis. SPE provides the sample clean-up, recovery, and concentration for quantitative analysis.
SPE, is a sample preparation technique that uses a solid phase packing contained in a small plastic cartridge. This processs, as it is most often practiced, requires four steps: conditioning the sorbent, adding the sample, washing away the impurities, and eluting the sample in as small a volume as possible with a strong solvent.
Overview
There are multiple options for SPE of samples on the PAL from LEAP.
- Micro Extraction by Packed Sorbent MEPS for the PAL
- Microliter ITSP cartridge SPE for the PAL
- Varian 96 Well Deepwell Plate SPE for the PAL
